Purgatorio is a game which seeks to answer a simple question: what happens to pumpkins when they die? Follow a pumpkin protagonist on a Halloween journey through three layers of the afterlife on a quest to find your final resting place.

  • Avoid traps and enemies as you traverse the graveyard landscapes of Purgatorio.
  • Encounter a trickster god in an innocuous disguise and do their bidding (or do not.)
  • Fight back against witches that torment you during the last leg of your journey.

Hi!! Are you open to talk about your creation process of your game design? Im a video game student from Montreal, Canada and Im doing a 12 pages research on video game design. We can do it in the weekend to talk about your game and give it some visibility in the database of my research group for others who want to learn more about original design!

To learn how you adapt and create game mechanics to your world and manage them to create a playable experience with challenges and obstacles. It would be very kind of you if you can describe them in details, it can be part text, part list and explain them with the improvements you did for your needs.

You can describe the design process and how did you think the level design, ennemy and difficulty design, your choices about the types of interactions the player can have in your game, ect...

Hope you are free to tell me more about your game!!
