Cold Cold

Cold Cold is puzzle platforming game wherein you play as Juniper, a winter sprite traversing a fantasy world that is chilled but not unfriendly. Juniper may use their magical nature to influence the world around them, as well as more mundane means. They can manipulate their environment to reach previously obstructed areas or direct an object to a goal. While there are dangers to be found in Juniper’s world, it is still a world of beauty and magic, and Juniper is on a quest to improve it by building a welcome addition—a friendly snowman.

Features

• Environment interaction. At the core of Cold Cold lies interaction with the environment. The player may push blocks of ice all around a level in order to avoid harm or get closer to a goal.
• Magical movement. Magic is all around Juniper, and they may utilize the magical ice of their wintry wonderland to defy the laws of physics.
• Classic platforming fun. Juniper must make difficult jumps and tricky maneuvers in order to reach the next goal and progress their journey. 

Project Goals

• Create a platforming/puzzle solving experience that is challenging but peaceful, allowing the player to experience both the warm fun and cold tranquility of Juniper’s world.
• Build an environment that is simple but has a sense of grandiosity, immersing the player in their role as a small friendly creature in a vast cold world filled with floating platforms and magic ice spires.
• Craft a simple, rewarding narrative that follows a cute and memorable protagonist on their journey up and away from home.
